No matter how old they are or what you prepare, inviting kids into the kitchen to cook with you is a great move. Your child will get more by interacting with you in the kitchen than just culinary skills. The ability to develop a deeper sense of connection with your child will be your first priority.

I kept thinking about the mess that would be created when I first pondered the idea of cooking with my kid. The kitchen was a mess. I look messy. The infant is filthy all everywhere! Have fun with kids : Don’t overlook this top priority! Cooking isn’t exactly peaceful. Just go with it. Relax. Enjoy the mess and embrace it! Your child will relax more as a result of you doing so. The REAL FUN starts after that.

Trust them: It’s crucial to trust your children once you’ve established safe norms and routines in the kitchen, despite how unsettling that is. You don’t have to leave the kitchen to be trusted. However, it does imply that you are giving your Little the freedom to finish work on their own.
